What is all this bickering and blaming in our pre-election politics for? Apparently, they are being done by emotional people who can’t see wrong behavior because of their blinding egos. The question they should ask themselves is: “How do we know we are right and the other is wrong?”
Obviously all the bickering and blaming are ego-driven, which means no one wins in such exercises. Those who cannot rein in their egos are in no condition to bicker, even if they are only responding to an aggressive, fistfight-provoking question or statement. Which only means that a rising temper in campaign exchanges is a danger sign. Indeed, a trap many fall into and only a few are able to avoid. If you have the wisdom to see through such a sign and trap, that is clearly because you know the secret of counting 1 to 10 in the self-discipline of meditation, which is what spirituality is about—the way to connect with your own soul and rise up beyond the reach of the ego-driven mind and thought processes. The positive reaction comes faster to those who are regular meditators.
Sad that many have lost their capacity to be guided by the truth. It is that capacity we need to contain ourselves in peace.
