Focus on finishing major infra projects

Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson should expedite the completion of snail-paced, ongoing major infrastructure projects of the government before the term of President Aquino ends next year.

For example, the much-touted or trumpeted skyway making more accessible the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Para-ñaque City, which was supposed to be completed in time for the 2015 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings for the convenience of the participating world leaders and delegates, remains unfinished—a big letdown.

Another one is the flood control project in Manila’s España and Blumentritt streets and vicinities, which easily get inundated after every heavy downpour. The project was supposed to be finished last summer yet.

Not to mention the skyway interconnection of the North and South expressways.

President Aquino should focus more on these infrastructure projects as among his legacies, especially for his so-called “bosses.”
