How could we entice local and foreign tourists to revisit Manila’s tourist belt of A. Mabini and M. H. del Pilar streets if some portions of this area are dimly lighted at nighttime?
Once the watering hole of Manila’s rich and famous, particularly the Remedios Circle, it is now a thing of the past. Petty crimes, involving foreign tourists, are quite common, and heinous crimes, once in a while, are committed in the wee hours of the morning.
Those busted lights should be replaced and the place should be relighted, including the side streets, to prevent notorious characters from preying on local and especially foreign tourists in Manila’s tourist belt.
To Mayor Joseph Estrada et al., “Let there be light.”
