Taft Avenue is one of the busiest and most prominent avenues in Manila.
Various government offices, educational institutions, public and private hospitals, commercial establishments and most notably the Apostolic Nunciature are all within sight on this famous avenue.
However, to transform this drab-looking place into an aesthetically eye-filling and eye-catching stretch day in and day out, a complete “makeover” should be done immediately.
Those unlighted and broken sidewalk lampposts on both sides of Taft Avenue (donated by a reputable bank) should be restored and relighted once again to illuminate the whole thoroughfare.
All forms of vandalism on wall fences, whether public or private properties, should be white-washed to clean up the mess.
Calling the attention of the city government of Manila to spearhead these noteworthy undertakings.
Let’s make Manila an “enviable” city of tomorrow.
