Malacañang admonished: Stop defending the indefensible!

/ 12:04 AM July 10, 2015

Malacañang should stop defending what is indefensible. Like the MRT’s shortfalls. To say that the problems are “technical” in nature is no comfort at all to the thousands of suffering MRT commuters.

Vice President Jejomar Binay was right in saying that train services in our country suck. He didn’t have to elaborate. Malacañang should just have kept quiet or, better still, joined him in condemning the performance of the train operators.

The Palace should have responded only after—not before—it had done something truly meaningful to train commuters, assuming that it has still enough time to do so.
