Manny or ‘Money’?

12:00 AM March 25, 2015

The boxing world is now agog over who will win in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 3 (Manila time).

As of this writing, the betting in the United States is slightly in favor of Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr., but I predict that Manny Pacquiao will win because Mayweather will just dance away from Pacquiao’s fists. Didn’t Mayweather once say about fighting Pacquiao: Why should I want to get hurt—or something to that effect—when, after all he is the champion already?

But the lure of easy money got the better of him. Guess how he got his nickname. The wise guy will show a good fight for his fans in this May fight, but will avoid Manny’s fists and he will lose the fight convincingly—for money.

Then he calls for a rematch which would possibly give him another $100 million or so, win or lose.

Thus he stands to beat Pacquiao in his money game and stay healthy, too. And the smart guy will be laughing his heart out on his way to the bank.
