SC ruling on DAP: P-Noy, Abad messed up

12:00 AM February 07, 2015

The latest, unanimous Supreme Court ruling on the Disbursement Acceleration Program—even if more legally nuanced and precise—essentially and basically affirms the patent unconstitutionality of the acts of President Aquino, through Budget Secretary Butch Abad.

Contrary to another contorted and self-serving reading by the Palace, the decision strengthened calls and moves for accountability and liability for such gross and wholesale juggling of public funds into one huge presidential kitty.

It implicitly validates the recourse to impeachment that was already propitious at the first instance it reared its ugly head.

The message is loud and clear except to those who remain incurably narcissist and self-righteous they could do no wrong.
