Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. challenged Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, his longtime rival for the “Best Pound for Pound” title, to a boxing showdown on May 2, 2015. This was a much welcome development for all boxing aficionados around the world.
Manny accepted the challenge and politely acceded to the conditions imposed by Mayweather. But people still doubt if the much-awaited fight of the century would ever materialize. And this, because they suspect Mayweather’s sincerity in challenging Manny. It is obvious Mayweather is afraid that Pacquiao will end his undefeated record.
Well, maybe, if Mayweather is afraid to fight Manny, I’d advise him to engage Manny in a one-on-one basketball game, or in billiards duel or in a singing contest. And Mayweather can rest assured that his boxing record will remain intact.
