Broken railings, vandalism along Commonwealth

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista should take notice of and replace the broken, twisted and mangled steel railings on the center island of Commonwealth Avenue in Fairview. Aside from being an eyesore, these railings allow pedestrians to cross the avenue, at the risk of losing their lives and limbs to the consternation of motorists passing by.

Also, all forms of vandalism are so rampant along Commonwealth Avenue that even footbridges are not spared. A clean-up drive should be launched by the mayor to repaint ravished walls.

As a prime metropolitan city, Quezon City should be a role model for cleanliness and orderliness.—PEDRO V. REFUERZO JR., jn_refuerzo@yahoo.com
