Stone-deaf public official and agency
It is quite disappointing that my letter, titled “Insurance Commission sleeping on claims” (Opinion, 6/1/14), regarding the collapsed Prudential Life Plan did not merit response from that government agency. In it I lamented the absence of updates from the Insurance Commission on the refund of premiums paid by planholders of the bankrupt Prudential Life Plan.
There has been no news in the media, or on the website of the agency itself. Neither does its Public Assistance Department respond to individual holders’ queries. I myself had e-mailed Chris Rafal, head of the department, twice and got no response.
If the issue is sub judice, so be it. As one of the hundreds of disgusted planholders, I just want information.
