Miaa to look into Pia Cayetano’s complaint on Naia coffee shops

This is with reference to the article titled: “Pia’s complaint: No decent coffee in Naia coffee shops” (News, 11/22/14).

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals are undergoing continuous renovations to improve its facilities and services. We will look into the coffee being served by our concessionaires to see if they can offer more choices.

At the Naia Terminal 2 predeparture area-international wing, there is Café France, a well-known coffee shop, as well as other food stalls that offer coffee products.

There are infant feeding stations in Naia Terminal 2 as well as in the other three terminals of Naia. Most of them are located at the predeparture areas of the domestic and international wings. The establishment of these infant feeding stations, in place for almost two years already, is a project of the Gender and Development Committee of the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa).

Tinderbox, a concessionaire at Naia Terminal 2, and the smoking rooms of other concessionaires in other Naia terminals, are required to have air purifiers. For nonpassengers, smoking areas are outside the building, at least 10 meters away from the entrance to the terminal.

Rest assured that we will continue to plan for better offerings to our passengers and visitors.—JOSE ANGEL A. HONRADO, general manager, Manila International Airport Authority
