Working with Penro, not with Rizal province

We would like to thank Delfin T. Mallari Jr. and the Inquirer for the report “Tanay plants bamboo amid climate change, Sierra Madre dam project” (Across the Nation, 11/3/14).

May we just correct a minor information as stated in this line: “BKEC-M is promoting bamboo growing, in coordination with the Rizal provincial government and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) under its National Greening Program. . . ”

We are working, not with the Rizal provincial government, but with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) of the DENR. The Penro is headed by Raymundo Crisostomo. We hope however that the former and all other local governments will also promote this undertaking to beat the fast increasing global heat.
