‘Pandora’s Box’ handed in Senate

12:02 AM November 05, 2014

Somehow, the former “associates” of Vice President Jejomar Binay (and of his “family successors”) in the Makati City Hall have obtained possession of his “Pandora’s Box,” and have surrendered it to the Senate, thus exposing their own participation in the anomalies of which they accuse him.

The magnitude of the amounts involved, the breadth of government bureaucracy implicated, and the callous disregard for public interests and morals by the “principals” in the irregular transactions are historical.

The aroused public will not be thwarted by the Binay camp’s evasion of the issues nor by his dismissal of the revelations as mere “politics.” The revelations should be pursued to their fullest so that Philippine democracy may gain creditability and become a reality.
