Santiago a better ‘presidentiable’

Feisty Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago should again take a crack at the presidency of the Philippines in 2016, as she said, if she fully recovers from her bout with lung cancer before the year ends (“Miriam as presidential candidate ticks off possible running mates,” Front Page, 9/11/14).

Because she is after the crooks in the government, Senator Santiago is one of the better candidates to replace the incumbent president in office.

However, the lady senator should tone down her ballistic and sporadic outbursts so that she will endear herself to the Filipinos, especially the masses.

Widening the playing field for the presidency in 2016 with Senator Santiago as one of the aspirants would make the race more interesting and worth watching.

The more, the merrier?
