MAY I most respectfully take exception to the news item titled “Chiz questions PCGG execs’ pay” (Second Front Page, 9/23/14). The fact is, I do not sit nor have I been in any of the boards of the sequestered/surrendered companies since I assumed as commissioner of the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) on Dec. 12, 2012, in the belief that this way the PCGG can best perform its oversight and supervisory functions over such companies, in accordance with its mandate to recover the “ill-gotten” wealth of former president Ferdinand Marcos, his family and cronies.
The experience of this commission confirms this belief.

on Good Government
