Thanks, Mareng Winnie, for mincing no words vs Binays

/ 12:01 AM September 09, 2014

May I thank Mareng Winnie (Monsod) for her direct-to-the-point observation of the

“world-class” Makati City Hall parking building (Opinion, 8/30/14). As usual, she did not mince words in pointing out the flaws in that supposedly “green” building. I had to suppress my smirk when she mentioned the many flaws of the building, including the amateurish

attempts to cow her into stopping her “tour” and the belated repair and manning of the elevators.

The blatant attempt of the younger Binay to hoodwink the Senate (and the whole country, as well) into believing that the building is worth P2.7 billion (okay, Vice President Jojo Binay, just P2.2 billion as you claim) is the height of incorrigible corruptness. No matter the histrionics of the Vice President, the Binay senator, the Binay congresswoman and the Binay mayor, this will not change the fact that they were caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

FEATURED STORIES

I am angry. I am furious. I am crying for justice; justice for my children, my grandson, and the millions of Filipinos who continue to suffer the shenanigans of these corrupt politicians.
