Why ape UFC’s ‘unmitigated fistic savagery’?

When a society or nation has reached the maximum level of its progress, then it has reached its level of incompetence, as it were, and the collective mind starts to turn to other (or rather “new”) things.

Take the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), for example, or what one could call the “Ultimate Fistic Circus.” One finds it difficult to use other “F” and “C” words to appropriately replace the original words.

UFC could also be called UFS for Unmitigated Fistic Savagery!  As if boxing were not “combat” enough, a mindless segment of so-called “creative” Americans set up UFC, which its president, Dana White, trumpets to the whole world, while patting us “little brown Americans” on the back for aping such stupidity. There are hours when on more than one channel we see UFC on the octagon, which has more than twice the number of sides the boxing ring has, and where brutality is twice-enhanced!

Such combative caricatures are even described as “classic” (as in classically inane) or “epic” (as in epically brutal).

FEATURED STORIES

Then there is this lost lone “Fil-Am” who introduces himself as Mark “MOON’-YOS.” Actually his name is Mark Muñoz (pronounced Mun-yoz’). There’s your Fil-Am with the mainland “phlavor.”

Ours is a country with a history—that of being other countries’ favorite dumping ground for junk!
