Report on conditions inside ‘normal’ jails

02:16 AM July 09, 2014

I am currently living and working overseas. I keep myself updated on news back home, most particularly about the pork barrel scam. One of the things I noticed is how the accused and their families are constantly complaining about conditions in “their” jail.

I would like to suggest to the Inquirer to write an article, with photos, about the conditions in “normal” jails where petty criminals are currently detained so the public can see the big difference between these two types of jails. Palagay ko naman matatahimik ang mga pamilya nitong mga accused. (I would assume that this would silence the families of the accused.)
