‘No other place in the universe I’d rather live in’

This is in reaction to Angeli Diamante’s piece  “I hate this country” (Opinion, 6/26/14). For my part, I love this country, warts and all; no other place in the universe I’d rather be.

I guess I feel the same way too. Old blood to change my jurassic values. Others can continue cursing the darkness but some of us must never give up lighting candles. We cannot all be nihilistic, pursuing negativism.

Let others hate but I will continue loving our Motherland with that kind of passion that whips the blood.
