Malacañang is evidently wary that releasing the so-called Napoles list of pork barrel scammers to the public would irreparably damage the Senate and the House of Representatives. The entire legislative branch might collapse, pundits fear. We say, so what?
Let the cookies crumble where they may. If both houses of Congress can’t stand this “tsunami,” so be it. Dominated by thieves and plunderers, they are not worth keeping anymore. Even names we least expected to be in that list of scumbags were, for Pete’s sake, there—also helping themselves to millions of kickbacks?! We have enough laws to tide us over another hundred years. This country would be better off with a Congress put to rest for a while.
