Prayers for missing passengers

12:04 AM March 17, 2014

On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, an international passenger flight between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Beijing, China, was reported missing and presumably crashed with more than 200 passengers and crew on board.

The Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy joins the nation and the world in fervent prayers for the passengers and crew of the missing plane as well as their loved ones. We hope for the success of the search and rescue operations mounted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations member-states and the global community. We commend the swift action and cooperation of these nations and their support for Malaysia, a friend of the Philippines.

While we still hope for the best, we pray that the families of the missing passengers and crew will have the strength and courage to face all possible outcomes of the search.
