4-hour use of electricity in Meralco area, how about that?

Price control does not apply to Meralco, which has a monopoly of power distribution service in its coverage area. But the law of supply and demand does apply.

If the demand is high and the supply is low, Meralco’s rate or distribution charge goes up. However, if the supply is high and the demand is low, the charges will surely go down. So let us join the 2HR Meralco Use Movement.

In the morning, let’s use Meralco-distributed electricity from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. only; in the evening, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. only.

Let us do this and find out what will happen to Meralco’s distribution rates.
