Why spare close allies of Aquino?

/ 12:02 AM March 04, 2014

Secretary Joel Villanueva, currently the director general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, has been linked to the pork barrel scam.

He’s one more Aquino ally whose hands have reportedly been soiled by the scandal. Just the other month, another Aquino ally, Rene Villa, head of the Local Water Utilities Administration, found himself in the hot seat after

being found out that he served in the recent past as legal counsel of Janet Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the P10-billion PDAF scam.

Of course, both Budget Secretary Butch Abad and Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala have had their hands full trying to justify their role in the release or disbursement of PDAF funds. I should also mention that there were reports and even pictures alluding to the fact that President Aquino himself and Senate President Franklin Drilon are friends of Napoles.

So how is it that only opposition members are getting all the flack for the pork barrel theft?
