Paging SSS medical dep’t

The late Carlos G. Mañalac (with SSS ID No. 02-0062933-3) was employed by the Central Azucarera de Tarlac from 1965 to 2003. On Oct. 13, 2001, he suffered a cerebrovascular attack. Effective Oct. 13, 2001 to May 2002, he was on a Temporary Total Disability status.

Afterwards, the SSS granted Partial Disability status. This lasted 15 months, ending September 2003.

A month before that, specifically in August 2003, he was terminated from employment. Under the law, specifically Presidential Decree No. 626, as amended, a partial disability that lasts more than 120 consecutive days shall be considered permanent total disability.

After languishing at the SSS Tarlac branch, my claim papers are now with the SSS Medical Operation Department.
