At long last, government pays arrears

On behalf of thousands of our living World War II veterans, I hereby extend my profound gratitude to President Aquino and his administration officials who, in one way or another, had a hand in the recent release and payment of the long-awaited arrears on our Total Administrative Disability benefits.

I also wish to extend gratitude to the Inquirer, which gave a helping hand in publishing the many appeals of old, living veterans for the payment of this benefit.
