I just want to quickly point out more promises where President Benigno Aquino III and Malacañang have fallen short. Whatever is the reason they failed is not really important to me anymore because the list of President Aquino’s failed promises has consistently been growing longer these past few years.

For example, instead of celebrating the Philippines’ achieving “rice self-sufficiency,” as has been promised over and over by the President and his Palace minions, the country is grappling with rice smuggling problems.

Remember, the President also made a vow to turn the Philippines into a rice self-sufficient nation by 2013, but it still is not, and it’s already 2014.

And last year or actually in 2012, Aquino announced that a peace agreement had been reached with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. That announcement made news right before the Philippine elections in 2013, and certainly was useful in getting votes for the Team PNoy candidates. Well, all this talk about the peace agreement is still just that: all talk.
