So: What the President wants, goes?

President Aquino led generals in a shootfest in which he supposedly regained some title of some sort. This, according to reports, is an annual thing in which basically older men and women in powerful positions go to a shooting range and fire away at targets.

I just wonder if this is really the most efficient way for the President to spend his time.

I know Malacañang and Aquino’s spokespersons have said that the shooting activity relaxes him. But it is still worth asking if this is a good way for the President to relax. They can argue that smoking relaxes him as well, but again, is smoking the right thing for him to do?

I guess whether something is right or wrong, or better or not, does not matter. As long as it is whatever the most powerful person in the Philippines wants, then that’s what goes.
