Nur Misuari is a failed leader whose time is up

08:28 PM September 24, 2013

I wonder why former ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) governor Nur Misuari is insisting on being the legitimate leader of the Muslims.  He misused funds intended for Mindanao progress and development and spent P20 million for his travels.  He lived a life of luxury and lavish comfort, while the people were mired in poverty, sickness and underdevelopment. Today, one can easily see the effects of his incapable and incompetent leadership in Mindanao.

Misuari should face up to what he has done, remove his troops in Zamboanga City and retire from the public eye.  This is the honorable thing for him to do.  He is making things very difficult for others and, as an ageing man, he should know when and where to stop.  His time is up.
