Palace handling of JLN shows selective justice

A perfect example of the Aquino administration’s selective sense of justice is the way it has handled the cases involving Gloria Arroyo, former Chief Justice Renato Corona, and Janet Lim-Napoles, the face of the pork barrel scandal.

The filing of cases against Arroyo was done within hours as was the issuance of the ensuing arrest orders. A serious accusation against a former president, which eventually was dropped by the presiding judge, was hastily put together more than likely under President Aquino’s orders; but it’s taking a lot of time to file the case against Napoles, which is supported by overwhelming evidence. This is proof of the Aquino administration’s selective justice and this shows that his fight against corruption is nothing more than an excuse to go after his political enemies even as he is protecting his political allies.
