Thanks, CJ Panganiban, for kind words

/ 09:57 PM June 10, 2011

I would like to express my deep appreciation and thanks for the kind words Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban said about me and my work as the solicitor general. (“Essential generals,” Inquirer, 6/5/11)

Please be assured that John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, Ho Chi Minh and Jose Abad Santos remain my heroes to this day. All of them have tread the difficult and sometimes unpopular paths in their struggle to achieve their dreams for a better motherland.

Indeed, there must be a steadfast and collective effort in our quest to rid, if not radically minimize, government corruption. We are doing the best we can to address the problems that stand in our way. Please continue to support us in our endeavors so that we may push further in the path to a more progressive Philippines and to a better life for our people.
—JOSE ANSELMO I. CADIZ,
solicitor general,
Office of the Solicitor General,
