The Inquirer published a very disturbing letter in Emily’s Post (“She has become the sex slave of her best friend,” Lifestyle, 8/25/13).
It’s not just the content and theme of the letter that are disturbing, it’s also the Inquirer editors’ allowing lurid details to be published.
If the Inquirer wants to discuss blackmail and psychological disorder in a column, fine. But please uphold the level of good taste that a broadsheet should. Please use your good editorial judgment to tone down the letter. The issues of blackmail and psychological disorder are apparent in the letter, even without the trashy details.
I hope Inquirer editors will keep the good name of the Inquirer intact.
