SSS count of 10 days longer than 3 months

/ 01:11 AM June 08, 2011

As an SSS member, I would like to complain about the slow and inefficient manner members’ requests are handled by the SSS head office.

I requested for a manual verification of my un-posted SSS contributions through SSS-Mandaluyong on Feb. 20, 2011. I was made to understand that it would take three months to do this although a poster in the SSS premises commits to do this in 10 days. Until now, according to Ms Connie Rosete of SSS-Mandaluyong, who patiently deals with my queries, there is still no word from the head office regarding my request.

Calling the SSS head office is a waste of time as its trunk line is always busy, and in the few instances that I was able to get through, I was always made to wait for a long time.

I am getting exasperated with what I’ve been through with SSS. Could SSS president Emil de Quiros please act on my request at the soonest time possible as I am set to leave the country. I am hoping for his immediate response to this new request.
