I would like to thank Prof. Randy David for his article “Allocating responsibility” (Opinion, 8/4/13). Any article about corruption like the P10-billion pork scam always makes my day. In fact, it’s not only me. I believe it also “makes the day” of every Filipino and maybe of the whole world, except of course those evil and corrupt people involved in the scam.
I, therefore, respectfully request Professor David to egg his newspaper, the Inquirer, to continue with its investigative initiatives to bring to light all corrupt practices, especially those involving misuse/abuse of government funds, and to expose all the gory details of every anomaly and name all the persons (no matter who they are) and entities involved, without fear or hesitation. I truly believe this is the only way to purge our society of this evil culture of corruption and ultimately bring our country to a level of greatness and respect.
The Inquirer is doing a great, pioneering work to help reverse the culture of corruption that has engulfed our government. I urge the Inquirer to lead the other newspapers and other media entities in this direction and to never let up until a major positive result shall have been attained, even if it takes forever.
My congratulations and admiration to the Inquirer owners, publisher, editors, brave reporters and all employees for their great work.
