Repair contract out, awaiting OK

10:10 PM July 29, 2013

This is in reference to the letter titled “No action from Road Board after a year” (Opinion, 6/7/13) sent by Pedro Refuerzo Jr.

According to Arleen Beltran of the Department of Public Works and Highways’ second Metro Manila engineering district, there is already a contract for the replacement of the busted streetlights along President Osmeña Highway, underneath the Skyway, from the Buendia Overpass to the Magallanes Interchange.

The office is only waiting for clearance/permit from the government of Makati City and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, which it needs prior to the contract’s implementation.
