Use mural painting to sway young from vandalism

The mural paintings on the façade or walls of Camp Aquinaldo are a welcome relief and a refreshing sight to passersby in the polluted and traffic-choked Edsa.

Local government officials, notably Metro Manila Development Authority Chair Francis Tolentino, should take a cue, emulate and, if possible, replicate this noteworthy project of the Department of National Defense in their respective cities.

We must harness the creative talents of our youth, especially in the field of mural paintings, to divert their energies from vandalism.
