Enviable active ‘lola’ prays with acts of kindness, love

This is a reaction to Carmelita Roxas Natividad’s commentary titled “A new spirituality” (Opinion,  6/20/13).

Madame, amen, amen to your “silence is prayer.” Your neighbor’s praying the rosary at night and showing crabbiness the next morning makes me grin, but fortunately

I am not disturbed a bit.

What would is if I’d see people discrediting their neighbors because they are different from them. They forget that acts of kindness, love and compassion are also a kind of prayer, a new spirituality as you, Madame, said in your column. Please accept my thanks for the lovely thought.

By the way, Madame, you describe yourself an active grandmother. Which leads me to ask how many  apo (grandchildren) you have now. Aren’t they apples of your eye? Congratulations, dear

lola. Have fun with your likes—to  “write, garden, and  bake, in that order.” You’re enviable !
