Pension payment assured but no funds yet
I am an avid reader of the Inquirer and I always buy a copy of the paper at Botica Lina in Surigao City.
In several instances, I noticed the magnanimous assistance Inquirer extends to people asking for help. This prompted me to refer my problem with the hope it can be solved at the soonest possible time.
I have sent several letters of appeal to the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) regarding my application for old age pension. From my record, I filed my application way back in July 2010, but it took PVAO almost two years before it finally recognized and acknowledged my membership. Because of the delay, my pension claim from July 2010 to December 2011 has not been funded.

This is where I want to call the attention of the PVAO administrator: Please include my request for the funding of the long-unpaid pension claims; after all, the budget for this year has already been signed by President Aquino.
