Can Joseph Estrada bring back Manila’s long-lost glory?

/ 10:16 PM May 21, 2013

With the election fever over or behind us, newly elected Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap”’ Estrada should fulfill his campaign promise to bring back the lost glory of Manila and make it on a par with the advanced Southeast Asian cities.
Upon assumption to office, Mayor-elect Estrada should immediately embark or launch an urban renewal program for a clean, orderly and peaceful Manila. He should rid the city of congested sidewalks crammed with vendors, chaotic traffic, illegal settlers, petty crimes, etc., which characterize Manila today. As the Philippines’ show window to the world, Estrada should make a complete makeover of Manila; he should transform it from filth and squalor into a beautiful city that every Filipino can be proud of.

Every citizen of Manila should rally behind the newly elected Mayor sans politics and help him build a new and better Manila for future generations.
