The truthfulness and reliability of the most recent survey results on the public approval and trust ratings of President Aquino have to be put into question. It is pretty doubtful that P-Noy has maintained good ratings in spite of an ongoing standoff in Sabah, which many believe P-Noy has been mishandling. That’s on top of the many other crises that the country is stumbling upon one after the other.
The survey results on P-Noy’s ratings are proof of either of three things: (1) that people are blinded by the popularity of leaders that they don’t see their deficiencies; (2) that the surveyors probably conducted the survey among relatives and/or close friends of the leaders; and (3) that the survey was controlled and manipulated by the leaders themselves, with the use of their wealth and power. Any of which clearly can’t be good for the country and our people.
Therefore, such surveys should not be accepted by the public as an indication of how the leaders of the country are performing their duties; and neither should they be used as a guide for the electorate in choosing the candidates to vote for, especially in the approaching elections since their results could possibly be meant to deceive.
