Senior pensioner seeks SSS’ prompt response
I am a Social Security System pensioner with SSS No. 06-0173408-9. On April 23, 2012, I wrote SSS president Emilio de Quiros to furnish me a copy of the manual verification of my SSS contributions. However, when I received the copy I discovered that it did not reflect my SSS contributions from 1960 to 1969 (the period of my employment at the General Milling Corp. in Cebu) and from 1970 to 1992 (my next employment at the Universal Robina Corp.). I likewise noticed that my SSS contributions from 1987 up to 1992, the year of my retirement, were not recorded.
As such, I would suppose that the computation of my SSS pension upon my retirement did not include the years stated above. Since I am now in my twilight years I hope that the necessary adjustments to my present pension be made soonest.
For this purpose, I wrote Eugenia de la Cruz, head of SSS’ Member Relations Department, for her kind assistance.
I will most appreciate her usual prompt attention and hope to hear from her soonest.
