Enrile’s magnamity should arouse BIR’s curiosity

I am awed by the magnanimity of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile in lending out P37 million to the late Sen. Rene Cayetano without even expecting to be paid back. This he revealed in reaction to a privilege speech of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano a few weeks ago.

However, my curiosity is aroused! Was he just as magnanimous in paying his income taxes during the years that he accumulated such largesse?

I hope the curiosity of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares will likewise be pricked.
