Columnists or propagandists?

I have lived in this wonderful country for the past 16 years, and during this time I have purchased the Inquirer every single day. But I am at a loss as to why the Inquirer gives space to two columnists who are not polemicists or contrarians, but propagandists. I have tried to understand them as polemicists, but this never works because they are so predictable with their views.

The Inquirer has a number of excellent columnists, and I include among them Randy David, Conrado de Quiros, and Peter Wallace. They can put forward “balanced and fearless views,” some that I can agree or disagree with, but their integrity is to be admired. The other two are not of that caliber.

Having vented my annoyance, rest assured that I hold the Inquirer family in great esteem, and I wish them my sincere season’s greetings.
