Doomsday did not occur as many expected. Amazingly, the world goes on.
Sometime in August of this year, Prof. Jimmy Licauco, in his program “Inner Mind” on DZMM, argued that the “end of a cycle” as prophesied by the Mayan calendar is not necessarily the end of the world as we know it. It is simply the beginning of a new consciousness. I think it may simply be the end of an era, the dissolution of Western hegemony and the rise to cultural power of countries like South Korea whose Psy-hit “Gangnam Style” has just hit over a billion views on YouTube. The United States and European economies are dwindling and we’re seeing the significant rise of China and South Korea to economic power. Obviously, Psy, K-Pop and Hyundai cars are becoming a cultural revolution.
Thus, spoke Nostradamus: “From the calm morning, the end will come, when of the dancing horse, the number of circles will be nine.”
