Winning streak in 2012

WITH THE advent of the holiday season and as 2012 comes to an end, the Filipino people have a lot of blessings to be thankful for this year.

In the political front, there is the framework agreement for peace between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front which, it is hoped, would put an end to the hostilities in southern Philippines.

Secondly, in the economic front, there is the impressive economic performance of the Philippines which is now touted as next tiger economy in Southeast Asia. And, not the least, in the religious front, the unprecedented Vatican “reward,” giving us a new saint and a new cardinal.

As a whole, the winning streak of the Philippines in all fronts this year is long overdue.
