Media must block plunderers’ return to gov’t

It is alarming that candidates who have been accused and convicted of plunder are running again for public office.

There must be a campaign to inform the public about these candidates who plundered and left government coffers dry and empty. The campaign should help Filipino voters make an informed choice during elections and not to be swayed by political promises and grandstanding.

Political dynasties and movie stars are putting the future of our country in great risk—we must stop criminals from getting into government posts.

Our last hope: We call on media, columnists and reporters who, as journalists, are duty-bound to speak the truth to help in this effort.
