A reminder from ‘Sandy’: Take care of God’s gift

/ 09:36 PM November 06, 2012

THE SUPERSTORM “Sandy,” which battered the east coast of the United States, was Nature’s wrath at its worst. Like what Tropical Storm “Ondoy” did to Filipinos, Sandy brought misery, destruction and death to ordinary Americans. Catastrophes of the same scale could hit other parts of the world, including the Philippines, if we inhabitants of this planet don’t take care of our fragile environment.

So let’s heed the call of our government and environmentalists to protect and preserve Nature that God has gifted us for our sustenance and care. After all, we only have one planet to live.
