ARMM, Bangsamoro, what’s the difference?

This refers to the news article titled “An official end of MILF rebellion” (Inquirer, 10/15/12). Being an expatriate settled in the Arctic, I wish to raise earnest queries about the land of my birth.

What is the distinction between the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and the Bangsamoro? ARMM was created because of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and Bangsamoro because of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front—a splinter group from MNLF.

When another splinter group would rise, how would the partition be named? What part in Mindanao would be subdivided again?
