MNLF belies aid to BIFF
The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) denies in very strong terms the innuendos that it is providing “organizational support” to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF). The MNLF upholds the 1976 Tripoli Peace Agreement and the 1996 Peace Accord. It adheres to the 1993 Interim GRP-MNLF Ceasefire Agreement. Its action will always be guided by the Charter of the United Nations on Self-Determination. Despite the MNLF walkout from the recent Bandung negotiation, it will abide with these covenants. The MNLF expresses regret that the Philippine government is now offering the MILF terms and conditions that were the subject of those covenants.
The MNLF respects the struggle of its MILF and BIFF brothers. Their struggle is in pursuit of their hallowed quest for self-determination. But it is the honest belief of the MNLF that with the way the government negotiators are conducting the negotiation, the pursuit for peace will be elusive.
