PAX expresses fraternal solidarity with the Robredo family

/ 07:42 PM August 27, 2012

We, the members of Philippine Alliance of Xseminarians (PAX) Inc., a confederation of former students of Catholic seminaries from all over the Philippines, share with lawyer Leni Robredo and family their grief over the tremendous loss of an irreplaceable loved one whose service to God, country and family was beyond mode and measure. But our grief is tempered by our Christian faith and hope that our brother Jesse Robredo is now joyfully at rest in the warm embrace of God, our Father, and Mama Mary, our Mother. For death indeed is the end of our earthly life but the triumphant beginning of our eternal life.

Jesse had always been near and dear to us in PAX since, among our public servants, he best embodied the noble ideals of Christian “servant leadership” to which PAX passionately subscribes. He was a personal friend and brother to many of us, who worked with him in several proposals and projects, to make our country a better place to live in and to make us really proud to be Filipinos.

We give Jesse’s family, Leni and their children, our solemn pledge that we will continue to work and fight for the ideals that our brother Jesse had worked and fought for all his life: good governance, social justice, peace and brotherhood among all Filipinos, equitable economic development, and the integrity of creation.

We know that the family will continue to be one with us in carrying on the noble crusade of their beloved—an extremely remarkable man, our friend and brother, Jesse Manalastas Robredo.
