Death claim pending with SSS for almost 2 years

/ 10:31 PM August 06, 2012

On Oct. 12, 2010, I sent a letter to Emilio de Quiros, president and chief executive officer of the Social Security System, on behalf of my daughter Edna Galura vda. Santos, whose husband, Carlos M. Santos (SSS No. 023080424-1) died on June 5, 2010. In that letter, I called his attention to the delayed release of my daughter’s claim for the death benefits of her late husband. As ordered by the SSS branch office, she submitted all the documents pertaining to his death.

More than two years have passed and no action has been made by the branch office. Jose B. Bautista referred my daughter to Laura M. Mariano, but still there has been no action. I even wrote Joel B. Palacios two times about the predicament of my daughter. But I received no reply.

My daughter is in dire straits. In order to survive with her two children she sold her house. When will she realize her prayers of getting her legitimate claim?
